  14. About 2 weeks ago I posted here and in comp.graphics for suggestions on a
  15. decent 21" monitor. After flipping through "Imaging Magazine", an obsessive
  16. journal whose readership consists of desktop publishers, they mentioned
  17. that the NSA Hitachi was the best color monitor that they knew of (for
  18. the reasonable price of $2200.) {The article was discussing Greyscale
  19. versus color monitors}

  21. Thusly, I bought the SuperScan Supreme 21XV. <<EXCELLENT>> picture quality.
  22. On a vertical line test (all of my sample screens are at 1600x1200), there
  23. was minimal shadow mask warping (which are apparent as moire patterns.)
  24.  
  25. Color temperatures are user adjustable (R,G and B guns ), or presets (9300K
  26. and 6500K.) I didn't find a convergence control, but it was dead-on corner
  27. to corner (ie. very little in the way of rainbow halos around pure white
  28. pixels in the corner.)

  30. I got suggestions for the Viewsonic, NEC and other anecdotal reports from
  31. many users (thanks!) However, for buying this monitor sight-unseen, I am
  32. very impressed (which is difficult, I'm the obsessive type.)

  34. Oh yeah, the syncs. Horiz: 31.5/60-107 kHz Vert:50-150 Hz
